Day 2 was a lazzzzyyyy day. Much needed after a packed day and night. We woke up late (well, I woke up at 9:30 which is my late) and plodded off to brunch. More erring on the lunch side, given it was 2:00 in the afternoon!
We ate in a ramen by the station. Ahhhh, I think it is crazily delicious. So much so I tried it for the first time only a couple of days before! And the gyoza. Dear god they're so good.
Then, walking, snail pace, around town, checking out shops with Chris as well. The boys got Moss Burger. Because, in Oita, one lunch is so not cool.
After a productive day of doing nothing, we celebrated with a dinner at a great restaurant called Toritakm. Mark was the guest of honour, as he clearly has a thing for Aussies ;). Anne and Mikey finally got to try Oita's beloved Chicken Namban- which is fried chicken topped with a delectable mayonaise-style sauce. I think they must have been glad to finally get trying it out of the way- given I would mention it every 3 milliseconds.
Then, back to mine for much chatting into the night.
