I hope you had a great and memorable one!
So after having a lazy day in Shinjuku we headed back to Anne and Mikey's hotel for a rest. My god- I've never seen such a small hotel room in my life! Hahahah, we were literally falling all over the place.
Once we'd rested a bit, we all met up in Shinjuku for dinner. Simon and Sharne were also there, as well as his brother and his brother's girlfriend, Tess. So we all went out to a Japanese restaurant and ordered sashimi, sukiyaki, gyoza and the like.
Then, at long last I finally had my big reunion with Holly! Yay!
Sharne had booked a jazz club for us to enjoy as we relished in the last hours of the year. The place was called the Pitt Inn. Wow, wow, wow! The music was just mesmorsing. I've never heard such beautifully played jazz.
After we went searching for a club. And stumbled on the BEST CLUB EVER. Well, it was more a bar that played heavenly music. It was seriously incredible music!
We took over the dance floor- literally, as no one eps was dancing. So I tried to drag some Japanese girls to dance with us- it was hilarious!
But the whole time I was in Tokyo I was really sick with a cold- so I was finding it hard to stay awake! A tequila shit certainly didn't help! And, because trains and the metro stop at 1am, we had to wait til 4:30 until the best train came!! Ahhhh, so I only got home at 5:30. And, because it's Japan, when I was walking back home, I took a different route and found an incredible temple!
But damn, it was worth it! An incredible way to bring in 2013!
